It is possible that the pharmaceutical company Actavis Group will be sold in parts to make the company more likely to sell. This is what the newsroom of Bloomberg publishes after two sources, who are said to have much knowledge of these matters.
Bloomberg says that there are a few informal offers to the company since last week. Originally the hopes were to be able to sell the company for 6 billion euro, equal to 850 billion krona, but now it is thought that the realistic price is closer to 4-4,5 billion euro, both because of the international market situations and the setbacks that Actavis has suffered in America.
It is repeated after a source that Actiavis might consider selling it´s operations in America specially to the American company Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. and the French company Sanofi-Aventis SA might be interested in that part.
Informal sale process of Actavis started in January, two years after Novator, the investment company of Bjorgolfur Thor Bjorgolfsson, bought the company and took it off the market. The company is said to owe 5 billion euro, mainly because of loans it took from the Deutsche Bank AG.
